MHC NOMINATION UNDER INVESTIGATION

The Malaysian Hockey Confederation is said to have launched an investigation as to why it had nominated someone not associated with the sport for a vice president position in the forthcoming Olympic Council of Malaysia elections.

Despite being asked several times, MHC Secretary General Johari Abdul Aziz refused to divulge as to why they had nominated the said official and questions posed to other elected members of the MHC drew bewilderment as no one was aware that such a nomination was sent.

Thus this issue is now expected to be raised at the MHC Management Committee meeting on June 30 as no meetings of MHC has been held since March 23, the last Council meeting.

Johari confirmed that they had nominated the said personality but did not want to divulge information as to how the decision was derived but made it clear that he had not received an instruction from the MHC President Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.
